Benjamin Thomas Anderson papers, 1943-1945.

Letters describing Anderson's experiences at U.S. Army Air Force training camps in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Louisiana (May 1943-June 1944), and his activities while serving in Italy, chiefly Foggia (July 1944-November 1945) during World War II. Some letters include poems. Papers document Anderson's various duties as administrative clerk and draftsman in intelligence sections of Bombardment Squadrons 347 and 353. Contains his induction notice and discharge papers; newspaper clippings; photographs; playbills from U.S. Army Special Service productions; and specimen copies of military publications, including The Engineer, published at Fort Jackson by the War Department, Corps of Engineers.
